LWVTN hosts "Why the Humanities Matter—Now More Than Ever" webinar

A Special Conversation on the Future of the Humanities

    🗓️ November 6 | ⏰ 7 PM Central / 8 PM Eastern | 📍Register for Zoom

In a time when headlines demand our constant attention, it’s easy to overlook something quietly foundational to our democracy: the Humanities. Yet now, more than ever, we need the critical thinking, historical perspective, and shared understanding that the Humanities provide to navigate our complex world—and to strengthen civic life.

Join us for an essential conversation on the State of the Humanities in America, featuring:

Robert Townsend, Director of Humanities, Arts & Culture Programs at the American Academy of Arts & Sciences

Tim Henderson, Executive Director of Humanities Tennessee

What role do the Humanities play in an era of division and rapid change? Why do they matter for the future of civic engagement, education, and public discourse?

Come hear from national and state leaders in the field—and bring your questions.

This is more than a lecture—it’s a call to reflect, engage, and act.

RSVP today and mark your calendar!
