This Friday, April 10, at 8 a.m., join the League of Women Voters of Nashville for our April Hot Topic! Come connect with fellow members over a great breakfast and enjoy a casual, social atmosphere before we dive into the morning's program. This is a wonderful opportunity to catch up with friends and meet face-to-face with Davidson County Administrator of Elections John D. Richardson, along with other members of the Davidson County Election Commission.
The Davidson County Administrator of Elections is responsible for executing all elections, ensuring voter registration records and voting histories for each voter are maintained, and providing information concerning voter registration, absentee voting, election results, and campaign financial disclosures. The Administrator is also responsible for the issuing of petitions to prospective candidates and the training of Election Day and Early Voting Poll Officials.
In the role of Administrator of Elections, John Richardson directs the daily operations of the Davidson County Election Commission and manages the Election Commission staff, which consists of 23 full-time employees and approximately 1,600 poll officials.
During Friday's Hot Topic, Administrator Richardson will share insights on election integrity in Tennessee and Davidson County, highlighting both current challenges and upcoming opportunities.
With county, state, and federal elections calendared for this year, we know that Administrator Richardson will provide welcome insight into how the League of Women Voters of Nashville can best empower Davidson County residents to get out and vote!
All are welcome to attend—we look forward to seeing you there!
