During this presidential races, and others, there has been a significant trend by some vocal religious groups to merge government and religion (particularly Christianity).  This includes book bans, private school vouchers, and general disbandment of American institutions in favor of a theocracy. Dr. Freeland will address these issues within the context of the constitution and current political atmosphere.

The program will be held at the Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church (809 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN 37830) and will begin with at 11:30 AM with lunch (catered) and socializing with our guest speaker.  The presentation and time for Q&A will begin at noon and will end at 1:00 PM ET.
