LWV Oak Ridge "Lunch with the League" hosts: Randy Hemann, Manager of City of Oak Ridge

Randy Hemann has been City Manager of Oak Ridge since Nov 2023. Previously, Mr. Hemann was Town Manager of Mooresville for 4 years. During his time there, he helped the community grow and invest in services including a new police headquarters, fire station, a park, library branch, and the largest skatepark in the southeast.

Hemann helped construct a $36 million baseball stadium that spurred downtown growth in High Point, NC, where he was Assistant Manager for four years. He also helped streamline the building inspections process and increased community code enforcement.

He served as City Manager in Oxford, North Carolina for two years following a 27-year career in the field of downtown development in Salisbury, Kinston and Benson, North Carolina.

The League meets in the Social Room of the Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church, located at 809 Oak Ridge Turnpike. Lunches may be purchased for a nominal fee beginning at 11:30 a.m. (eastern time) or attendees may bring their own lunch. Coffee and tea will be provided. The presentation by the speaker begins at 12:00 noon, followed by a question and answer session. Guests are welcome to attend these interesting and informative events.
