Join the League of Women Voters on Sunday, February 15 for From Awareness to Action: Advocacy for Your Community with Cecile Wimberley, Advocacy Manager at Second Harvest Food Bank. This session will cover the basics of advocating at the local, state, and federal levels, including how to identify elected officials, follow legislation from introduction to passage, and effectively speak up on issues that matter to you and your community. Participants will learn how to understand the process, speak up with confidence, and create change. Updates from the 114th Tennessee General Assembly will also be included. Speaker Bio HERE
