LWVTN hosts "Talking Trash" Webinar

Talking Trash—the circular economy, landfills, and what packaging producers can do

People have been encouraged to recycle, reuse, and reduce for years. Still, we have a trash problem and it’s going to take structural change to truly bring about meaningful change. Learn about the challenges and business-oriented solutions. Our speakers will be:

Gary Cohen, a 40+ year veteran of the packaging industry and volunteer Outreach Director for Reimagine Packaging Tennessee, the coalition working to pass Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for packaging legislation in Tennessee

—Sandra Goldmark, Associate Dean for Interdisciplinary Engagement at the Columbia Climate School, and Professor of Professional Practice and Director of Sustainability and Climate Action at Barnard College

—Danielle Azoulay leads, develops and operationalizes sustainability and corporate responsibility programs for global, consumer product companies. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University, where she teaches Circular Economy at the Columbia Climate School
